Crystals ..Ooh.. Ahh...

  • There are six crystal forms.
  • Cubic, Tetragonal, Hexagonal, Orthorhombic, Monoclinic, and Triclinic are the six.
Each one is a different mineral.
These minerals are all formed from elements
that are combined together at multiple times
each day. To me, these mineral formations can be inaccurate, because of the fact that crystals grow in totally randomized ways..
It's interesting enough though that they are plainly set up..

These are the crystal forms. They can be various in many ways, the minerals themselves are classified under these forms. There are a fairly large number of minerals.
CRYSTALS ARE SO SWEET!!!

  • Isometric- Also known as the cubic crystal system. These crystals are usually shaped like blocks, with symmetrical faces. Example : Pyrite
  • Tetragonal- Usually, these crystals are shaped like four-sided prisms, or pyramids. Example: Zircon
  • Hexagonal- Usually shaped like 6-sided Prisms or pyramids. Example: Beryl
  • Orthohomibic- These crystals are somewhat short and stubby. Example: Topaz
  • Monoclinic- These are also short and stubby, however they also have tilted faces at each end. Example: Gypsum
  • Triclinic- Usually flat with sharp edges, they show no right angles. Example: Feldspar

Renew This ...!

  • Solar Power refers to the utilization of direct radiant energy from the Sun.
  • Solar Energy is the conversion of sunlight into energy.

Solar Power is the best resource, because it is free, safe, and efficient. It is used in many places to power schools, sometimes military districts, homes, and businesses. You can use Solar Power to gain any electrical need. However, it is a fairly new idea and is still not being implemented on a world-wide scale. It is very necessary that we tap this power source so we can start saving our planet from the negative effects of gas emissions. It is also probably the easiest way to "go green". Net metering is one of the many improvements that we've made using this technology.

  • Net metering is the movement 0f any of your unused energy to a nearby power station for later power-for other industrial or residential uses.

You also recieve a small payment over time for powering other people-this is part of Net metering. The way this power is "tamed" is by absorbing direct rays from the Sun into solar panels which converts the radiant energy into electrical energy.
Our ozone layer is literally becoming weaker every day that we send out toxins into the air. Our planet is dying and we NEED to do something about it as quickly as possible.
I believe that Solar Power could be our relief to a big environmental crisis that we currently have at this time period. WE NEED SOLAR ENERGY!!!!!

With care,
Aaron

Ooh... you wanna know my fav map?

Ever since I saw the Gnomic projection
I was a bit surprised by it's design. I also thought the name was really unusual, for those who do not realise gnomic actually means-from ancient Greek, a general truth that may be expressed in the present, past, or aorist tenses. The useage of these three tenses is known as the gnomic.
It was a bit complex and very exceptionally
different compared to the other maps.
The way it is designed in it's inversely shaped
way... it's a bit fascinating to me in many ways.
I've always wanted to see a map like that, and
when I saw it today I was a very surprised... most maps you see are rectangular and very basic... Another reason is that I prefer maps that give you a singular veiw of one section at a given time.

The Gnomic allows you to see how close Alaska and Russia actually are. Approximately they are only 100 miles apart in all actuality. You see many years ago before even medieval times.. there was a bridge-the Berling Strait, of which was believed to have been the tool of imigration for tribal people-this bridge was the only connection between Russia and Alaska. These people were said to have gone into the North and South American continents across the Berling Strait.
It also shows you a specific hemisphere. So far, I've seen it only used for the Northern Hemisphere. The Earth can be shown in many ways-personally I just think the Gnomic projection is probably the best-for it's singular use.

This is my favorite projection..

The Gnomic projection, is also a fairly new, but it works out really well when looking at the Earth from that view point if you choose it.

With my deepest interest,
Aaron

My fav Earth Science Study is.. uhhm.. let me think...

In my opinion, the most appropriated level of Earth science that would be considered
the most interesting or catching would be Astronomy.
When you think of Astronomy-you think of space and the out world from our home.
Every day different space organizations such as NASA head into space trying to discover deeper
unknown places in Space. Astronomy intregrates the chemistry of radiation, the study of space, physics, scientific theorys, and atomic structure.
It also aids in discovering how our planet Earth was formed over time.

  • Astronomy can be defined as two things:The scientific study of matter in outer space, especially the positions, dimensions, distribution, motion, composition, energy, and evolution of celestial bodies and phenomena; a system of knowledge or beliefs about celestial phenomena: the various astronomies of ancient civilizations.

Many people pay a fairly large sum just to aid in the space launches and control of landing areas.
It's a very big political aspect if you think of it economic wise.
Is it right to spend our money on Space?
Is it even worth it?

What really is out there in the unknown that's so worth while?
Astronomy is a very big topic in Earth science.
If you think about what could be out there.... other species.. new worlds.... other distant
Galaxys.... there's so much we have yet to discover. We use Astronomy to go to extremely far places-literally.
Astronomy is by far the best subject in Earth Science.

With love,
Aaron
